Last updated: October 1st, 2026

Description

Details:

  • Document Version: 001
  • Applies to Version(s): AVEVA Application Server 2017 and up

Description

This article from InSource Solutions Group shows how to resolve a view app stuck in a “synchronizing” state.

In System Platform 2023 and prior, that state looks like this:

In System Platform 2023 R2 and up, that state looks like this:

Solution Steps:

  • Undeploy the Managed App stuck synchronizing
  • On the GR, go to Computer Management > System Tools > Shared Folders > Shares > find the share of the view app in questions > right click >Stop Sharing
  • Still on the GR, delete the folder at C:\ProgramFiles\ArchestrA\Framework\FileRepository\GalaxyName\ObjectFileStorage\$InTouchViewAppName\Deployed_xxxx
  • Deploy the view app

This can sometimes take 15-20 minutes to finish synchronizing, so give it some time. If it does not work, try undeploying the platform of the view app (CAUTION: this will undeploy everything below the platform, not just the view engine/view app) and redeploy the platform (uncheck cascade), then the engine and view app. If you run into problems redeploying, check out this article on Troubleshooting Deployment Failures.

Failed to create bootstrap on remote machine.
