[ISS Support Case] License faied to aquire
Customer reported that client nodes were unable to acquire a valid read/write license. The error displayed was: "Unable to find or acquire a read/write license." Upon investigation via a support call, it was determined that the environment included mixed software versions: a 2014 R2 Galaxy and two client machines running 2020 R2. The client nodes were configured to pull licenses locally, as confirmed through the AVEVA Configurator. Further investigation revealed the license was managed through a redundant license server pair. When attempting to launch the AVEVA Enterprise License Manager to inspect the license availability, the following error occurred: "Access to the License Manager is denied." This was attributed to a permissions issuethe currently logged-in user was not a member of the AVEVA Enterprise License Manager Users group. When attempting to manually add the user to the group via Local Users and Groups, the system returned another permissions error, indicating that administrative rights were insufficient to apply the changes.
